The Nose Is Coming To The Dodgers Network

Dodgers
Nomar Garciaparra will join the Dodgers' SportsNet LA broadcast team for the 2014 season, the Los Angeles Times reported on Monday.
The Dodgers could not confirm the report.
Garciaparra, who played with the Dodgers from 2006-08 and retired after the 2009 season, has been a broadcaster with ESPN.
The Dodgers have been negotiating with several broadcasters, including former Dodgers pitcher Orel Hershiser, after not renewing the contracts of Eric Collins and Steve Lyons. The club will begin its 25-year, $8 billion deal with Time Warner in 2014.
The 40-year-old Garciaparra, a six-time All-Star who was born in Whittier, Calif., and went to St. John Bosco High School in Bellflower, was the National League Comeback Player of the Year for the Dodgers in 2006.

NO-MAH is back. I like Nomar, I think he was done pretty dirty in Boston. This is such a good move for the Dodgers. They got rid of slime ball Psycho Steve Lyons and Gus Johnson wannabe Eric Collins and are trying to get new blood. Nomar is good. He has been good on ESPN and I'm sure he will be great here. He is also part of one of the best Dodger moments ever. Sept 18th 2006 (my birthday), The Dodgers are down 9-5 in the bottom of the 9th and proceed to hit 4 straight home runs to tie the game. Nomar came up in the bottom of the 10th and sent everyone home with a walk off. They still play that video whenever they need a rally at the Estadio.

The next thing the Dodgers need to do is find Vin Scully replacement. Whoever they hire this year to do the road games needs to be THE guy.  It is the biggest shoes to fill in the history of shoes to fill and who ever they chose will be scrutinized for not being Vinny. It's the job that everyone simultaneously wants and doesn't want. Right now I say give it to Hank Azaria. He could do it no problem.
